Perth Zoo Eco Toilet Construction

Client: Perth Zoological Authority

Earthworks and preparation of site (following strict environmental specifications)
Involved an environmentally conscious and professional approach- works to be carried out during patron visiting hours.
Takes the phrase reduce, reuse, recycle literally with materials and methods used to minimise the environmental impact of construction.
Construction of three separate adjoining single storey structures designed to blend with their surrounding environment.
Installation of a number of sustainable products including- low flush toilet bowls, waterless urinals, low flow taps etc.
Installation of six water tanks with a total capacity of 76,000 litres used to service all plumbing and irrigation requirements for the surrounding landscaped area.
Photovoltaic cells, wind turbines and passive lighting have all been installed in place of traditional power methods.
