Kent Street- Science Block Upgrade

The works comprise refurbishments of existing Science Classrooms, Science Preparation Areas and ancillary areas. As the school premises will be occupied during the construction and refurbishment stages CPD Group has taken the relevant precautions in ensuring minimal inconvenience and disturbance to occupants.

The new science rooms will feature state-of-the-art equipment including eye wash stations and safety showers which have been made to specifically suit the labs. We have also installed emergency shut off power buttons as an added safety measure. Our electrical works have included the installation of energy efficient lighting and timers for both the lighting and heating of the premises. The project is anticipated to take 20 weeks to complete and will comprise of the following works;

• Demolition of internal fixtures, including removal of asbestos
• Structural Steel Works
• Brickworks
• New Windows and  Doors including glazing and stud work
• Mechanical, electrical and plumbing services
• New Roller door installation
• Internal and external painting works
• Carpentry and joinery works; pin boards, cupboards, glass splashbacks.
